Château de Fontainebleau & Vaux-le-Vicomte
About this tour
Two very different masterpieces, both less than an hour from Paris. Fontainebleau was home to forty kings and emperors: a palace of layers, from Renaissance frescoes to Napoleon's apartments. We arrive at 10:00 am, when the great rooms are still calm.
We then continue to Vaux-le-Vicomte, the château whose beauty made Louis XIV jealous: and whose architect, painter and gardener he then hired to build Versailles. Two hours to walk the state rooms and Le Nôtre's gardens before returning to Paris.

Guest reviews
“Stephan was an excellent driver and also very kind. The 2 palace experiences were great. Both Stephan and Yassir could not have done a better job of facilitating our trip. Their suggestions about going through both palaces were good. Stephan was punctual and helpful. Yassir recommended that we get a golf cart at Vaux le Vicomte. It was a great suggestion. The experience exceeded our expectations. Thanks so much! Don't hesitate to book!”
“Our driver, Yasser, was excellent. He kept us informed about what to expect on arrival and gave us tips to make the most of the tour, along with historical facts and more. He also pointed out interesting sights all along the way.”
